i read the thread about midas/devils and it seems some the pics cant be displayed. my friend is giving me this, He said it sometimes chases his fish but is not mean and at 8 in he is still all orange. I was told by a guy at the lfs they starting getting a hump and getting white at this time if they are a true red devil. I love orange so he is a great looking. Still no changes. Please no smart @ss comments, I just want opinions on this fish and the info I received. 1888705_10201298395214102_1106375560_n.jpg

Looks like a nice Amph. As for what it is, most likely your run of he mill MiDevil. In terms of adult coloration/nuchal hump development, those factors are based on genetic predisposition. Some become white, others stay orange, some stay barred, and some display a combination of both. In addition, some will develop a large impressive nuchal hump, while others barely develop one at all.

doesnt *in matter. These are the best fish family in the world.

Red devil or Midas or Xilouense, or saggtae, or chancho or amarilo..

they are all the same * except fading variants and some barr intensity then individual personality.

But my sterotype for them is they are the King of all cichlids when it comes to wet pet. Long Live Amphos ForeEveR!! When Amphos die I dont keep cichlids NO more!! Like that holmes. That's how I feel about these fish. With out them and Trimacs there are NO ReALLer foundations for Real FHs.

very nice, be warned ive given rd away that were ok (and not the dominant fish) in my tank then state their dominance in the new tank and try to kill everything!
