Midevil tank size

Mine is probably around 3 years old and I don't think he is close to 14". I think he is closer to 11".
But a 75 is definitely better than a 55. That extra width makes a huge difference.

This is my old favourites son, remember by boy rocky anyone? Well this is brock, he was born Oct before last as an egg. Tiles below are 12 inch.
Figured 10 inch in year one from lfs size around 2 inch so about 2-3 months old.
Admittedly fish do grow alot faster in the 300g than the 100g grow out, I don't know why...

I've heard that about fish growing faster in larger tanks. I've read (once) it's related to the increase in water pressure.

if my Dovii hits 2ft it Will be more or less a perfect equivalent of a 13-14 inch midevil in a 75g...

dovii are open water predators, cits/labs are cave dwellers. Big difference in use of tank space. My male cit is 3-4 yrs old, at most 12", but I don't power feed. He is perfectly fine in a 90 gallon. My last midevil maxed out at approx. 12", maybe a bit over. He was a bastard too, but he's the only fish that I truly miss. lol

Same I miss rocky so much, I had too euthanise him at 4yrs old...
They are true pets.
Still questionable if my Dovii is rtm hybrid atm, hoping he stays smaller and I can comm him.

A lot of it has to do with the actual footprint of the tank. I currently have a midevil in a 60 gallon, but it has the same footprint as a 75, it's just shorter. It's a lot deeper than a 55.

I love that tile setup! Do you have gravel under/between the tiles?

Thanks and Nah the tank is totally flat bottomed so no voids. Virtually nothing gets under there. They are just laid in..
