Hello,

I'm thinking of switching my 75 from fresh to brackish.

Could I keep using an emperor 400 filter?

What would you stock if I wanted an eel and some kind of wet pet?

How is this stock?

1 archer
1 Ceylon puffer
2 scats
4 monos
1 "freshwater" moray

All of these fish come into the LFS totally freshwater. Can a simple drip acclimation handle this?

Yes, but you could just set up your tank fresh, add all those fish and THEN adjust the salinity up by .002 SG every week


Not sure about tank size I know monos and scats both have the potential to get huge, don't see too many giant ones even though I know they exist

i don't know much about emperor 400 filters but im guessing that it does 400 gph? if that is so you should look into getting either a second filter or one that does more then that. fish like archers and the eels will produce a lot of wast in the tank and you really should be able to turn over the water in your tank at least 5-7 times an hour. your right around the 5 times line so it might be ok, but i would recommend more filtration. try and get it closer to 7-10 times. that will make for happier fish and a cleaner tank. i hope this helps some.
