Might have some Dovii x Grammodes feeders soon

A year ago I watched 2 female convicts paint the side of the tank with eggs and my GT fert them. I saw the GT do the same to Salvini eggs aswell - nothing came of it.
My best guess would be incompatable genetics...............be interested to hear how your cross works out. (Parachromis x Cichlasoma)

Damn, the size difference is astounding. Good thing fish don't breed like dogs do...imagine a mastiff humping a chihuahua? No way that ends well...

Yeah, they might not hatch but at least they haven't been eaten yet so we can see if they're genes are compatible or not. I don't see why they wouldn't be, they're built so similar to one another. She's a pretty good mom, she just reared a pretty good batch with my male Grammodes not too long ago. Too bad there's no market for them.

Haha and they would probably sell too. As much as I could use the money, it would be bad for my conscience to spread hybrids around....it's just not in me. And the size difference is pretty drastic, I posted the pic just so you guys could see what I was talking about.
feeders is the best choice. there is a guy here that has a batch of dovii x rtm juvis and he has been selling them to people and lfs as red dovii. not good for the hobby.

I wish I was in Texas i love grammodes but I can get some local. That was a big risk if he decide to become abusive all she can do is hide. I'm sure she can fit where he can't reach. I'm not a hybrid person but if you do keep some or sell let people know what they are. the hobby is hard enough as is to tell what is what without adding to the situation. As for the mom don't overbreed her or she may burn out.
They will hatch if his sperm got them. Dovi and grammodes are much more related than GT's and convicts. My male red Devil bred with my female red Terror several years ago. If his sperm got to the eggs they will hatch, garateed.
