It is an overstatement, because sports do not revolve solely around athletes in the United States.

For all we know the best basketball player could be playing on a playground court in New York or in a village in Africa. They would definately be categorized as under achieving but they could still be the best out there.

All the Vick's are punks...its different when one family member is a problem, but when all of them are problems....come on now, think about it: stomping on people durring a game, pulling out guns at McDonalds, herpes, dog fighting, the list goes on, water bottle at airport....is it not obvious that these are thugs and pathetic excuses for human beings. Anyways, i just wanted to give my 2 cents
