I liked the way you had it set up before adding the driftwood, the hardscape that is, with the sand beach area at the front and larger stones on either side toward the back. It still looks good, tho, I prefer the previous. All that matters is that you are happy, tho.

Yeah, but I'm still in the planning stages of the hardscape right now, and because I use photoshop for creating my hardscapes I'm still working out a good scape for the tank. The new scape will for sure have the little sand area surrounded by the smaller rocks, but I'm thinking of removing some of the current driftwood piece, and adding some more unique pieces to the tank.

It was funny. the lady at the fish store tells me "Blue Rams are hard to keep alive here in Denver". I laughed at her and told her no, it's "hard" for people who just toss them directly into the tank without acclimating them properly. I invested in a drip acclimation kit that makes it a cinch to acclimate fish, just hook it right up to the tank and start a simple drip. Took me 30 minutes to acclimate the Ram, and he's going strong!!!!

So the Electric Blue Ram made it through the night, and is active as can be swimming up and down the glass, and all over the tank. The two nerite snails are doing good, except the smaller one has disappeared from site but there's lots of places it can hide. So far, so good!!!

Post pics when you have them, I'd love to see the Ram in there. If I'm not mistaken, the nerite snails will dig thru the substrate, stirring it well. You may not see them for some time lol.

Nice growth so far! And love the ram ~ more would be great, they do get lonely. Glad to see they can live in Denver, LOL! I'd like to hear more about your acclimation kit.

Coming along beautifully! :) Am I understanding that rams need to be aclimated to their new tanks differently? I must be lucky, Ive never done anything different with the few I have.
