Milk or Coral?

Please keep in mind that this rule only applies in North America. In Central and South America there are corals that have red touching black and some that are only red and black. Just FYI for travelers or people who dont live in the U.S.

Ditto. Ya beat me to it!

And actually there's one or two species in the U.S. that are harmless colubrids but do have red touching yellow. I think its the longnose snake, if I remember correctly.
 
Wow, thats always good to know. Get a good ole saying stuck in your head and now its not even right all the time :)

I learned it as: "Yellow touches Red, you're dead. Red touches Black, friend of Jack" So much easier to remember when your name is actually Jack
