The population of Texas contributes more to global warming than that of any South American country and appears to be more ignorant and belligerent as well.

Some are real sh*theads a hear...
that makes me want to go out and buy a hybrid car :banhim:

someone posted this before

the global warming we contribute in 10 years is equivlant to 1 small (meaning absolutely tinyest) volcano erupting/spewing ash

this year was a hot summer in new england- im sure it was worse in the amazon

im a believer in the "temperature of the world goes in revultions" theory in which the temperature that year is the same as a year previous too that and that all temperatures repeat ina cycle

unfortunately we havent kept documents of said temperatures for more then 150-200 years

Someone did post it before. But when I asked this someone to back it up, this someone failed to do so.

According to Volcano World website volcanos currently account for only 3% of the production of CO2. Volanos also produce very little methane but do put out large ammounts of sulfur dioxide. From what I have read most greenhouse gases come from organic sources, be they man or "other", there is a strong debate over who does what.
Some of the gas sources are from fossil fuels or burning wood, one source I find intriging is the tropical termites whose population has expanded dramatically where man has cut down rain forests, dead scrap wood and grasses feed higher population density species than does greenwood.
I also think that at least part of the "problem" is indeed the long term temperature cycles that the earth experiences, speaking of which, we are about due for a mini ice age like the one ine the 1100s, maybe the 2 effects will cancel out.
I do find it annoying to hear people complain about symptoms rather than the cause, too many people. That problem is not going to go away in a hurry.

If your sources are right, the "blame it on volcano" posts are just excuses to conveniently continue with the polluting lifestyles until the disaters strike.

Then they change thier minds...

Mankind appears to be nearing the last stage of destruction of its own habitat.
