Millipede breeders in Canada?

Like the title says, I'm seeking out anybody who breeds or might know someone/someplace that breeds Giant African Millipedes.

My RPB recently died of illness so now I've got a nice big tank and nothing to put in it. I'm going to postpone my fish-keeping until I can afford a bigger tank, and a bigger place to keep it in. Thusly, I thought I might go about getting myself a pair of milli's since I loved having one back when I did (Unfortunately died early, I was a newb) and want to try again. Problem IS, they're apparently illegal in Canada, which is total BS because they're less dangerous than tarantulas or scorpions, AND I bought my first one in a pet store in Manitoba, WHICH IS IN CANADA.

So far neither of the two major pet stores here carry them so I've been desperately trying to find Canadian sellers. No luck, all in the US.

This is a longshot but I figured I'd try here anyway, so if you have ANY idea where I might be able to get my insect-loving hands on some Mills, let me know.

Side Note: I realized that the Reptile Expo is this Saturday, and I heard someone once sold some there, but I don't really want to chance setting up a tank, buying a ticket, GOING there, and then finding out that nobody has any.

Or maybe someone knows a magazine for keeping such pets that might have a number that I can order from? Someone I knew was able to order freakin' marijuana plant seeds from a publicly-sold magazine, so an illegal invertebrate can't be THAT hard to find... I hope.

Publicly declaring your intent to carry out an illegal transaction is probably not wise...

Have you looked into other millipede species? Narceus annulatus and N. americanus are similar, but smaller, North American millipedes.

And I've never heard of nor seen any of those species... Guess I could look into it though.

Wouldn't the coldness that is Canada completely wipe them out, though?

I keep finding mention through Google of people who got GAMs from the Reptile Expo... although they're talking about the one in Ontario, and it is from a couple years back. Trying not to get my hopes up but it seems others have had luck finding them. Haven't found any sellers of n. americanus or anything similar, though.

Yeah, its a major shame... they're awesome creatures. Any idea if /other/ species of Millipede are allowed, or are all from other countries banned? I tried browsing the site of the agency who banned them but couldn't find much, and nothing on millipedes strangely.

If you check on the customs website, there is a list of allowed animals. All foreign millipedes are banned.
