ive heard of people keeping them in small enclosures because it prevents them from gaining enough speed to injure themselves when they run into the glass, but a 4' x 2' x 2' should be doable

I didn't even know what they were till recently saw one while visiting a friend.
I saw one run from his front yard down the street while it rained and it was greased lightning.

Bigger is better with basilisks. I kept a trio of B. plumifrons in a large custom made cage that was 5'x3'x4'. You can keep babies in aquariums but a 55 for life ain't gonna happen.

keep in mind that these are not handleable reptiles. there a nice show herp

from what ive read, if you start handleing them when young they become pretty tame

My male Plumed was pretty tame. Not Beardie or Iguana tame, but tame for a Basilisk. Females on the other hand are usually pretty flighty and never become as tame as males.

and lastly, does anybody know of any where in the southern nh area that might have juvies for sale?

i'll be getting my license in a few weeks and when i get it im going to hit a few stores and see what they have.
