thats a good question
i bought $12 worth of minnows which are 150 and when i got home 120 of them died any one know why?:cry:

Water parameters? How did you acclimate them? How were they handled? Were they overstocked in plastic bags?

overstocked yeah. they were put in a medium sized bag and i dont know their water parameters.

no they all died before they went in my tank. and i added them bunch by bunch.

Get API liquid test kit and test your ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. My suspicions:
1. Rising ammonia and nitrite levels.
2. Oxygen depletion.
3. High stress levels brought by the first two.

depleted oxygen in the bag?
yes!!!!!!!!! the bag was losing air so i blew into it. bad move by me?

could also be the temperature, many LFS keep them in tanks with a chiller, and that could play a role
