min size of tegu cage

my old roomate had a 3'+ argentinian black and white in a 55 and the poor guy could hardly turn atound

Bigger is better, and will save you from cutting.

if you have the room i would go 8x4. tegus are very active. more so than some of the bigger lizards who will lay around for most of the day. also remember they LOVE to dig so try and provided at least 12" of substrate.

i watched a tegu for a while for someone and he was constantly on the move.
