I've been trying to find an answer but there is too many different opinions.

Heres my question:

What is the minimum tank size for an adult ball python?

Would a 36"x18"x12" be sufficient?

I have mine currently in a 65 gallon tall but was wondering if I could use the shorter tank. I never ever see mine out of its cave exploring.. and I know Balls arent much of climbers. My husband thinks they need the height but I am not sure.

Yes or no? Thanks!! :)

they dont need height they just like to move around a bit
im not a snake expert but im sure thats more than big enough

Your python comes out at night, that's by you never see it. If you have branches, it will climb on them. Good excersize. Now the smaller cage you described is good, but bigger is always better :)

I have this 30 gallon breeder and a 65 gallon tall. I have a ball Python and a Bearded Dragon, neither of which are full grown yet. Should I leave the snake in the 65 and put the Bearded in the 30? Or would it be better to switch them?

Well your dragon will need something 48x24x24 when its adult. I don't see a reason for switching, unless your royal python is a large female and is uncomfortable coiling up in the 65G.

I guess I'll have to return the 30 and get the 40 breeder for the extra height.

Ok so basically everyone is saying that the 30 would not be tall enough for a snake, correct?
