Midas get really big and thick and need some swimming room. I always thought a 75g 4' x 18" is the absolute minimum for a single Midas but bigger would be better.
My 135 gallon seemed too small for my 12-13" white midas.
I think minimum size for anything in the 14" mark would be a 75g, optimum would be a 120 wide (4x2x2). If we all had 120 wide's for our wet pets, it would be much better, but of course they are expensive.

ah I see. Well what you should do is find a load bearing wall, thats where you can put the weight of a heavy fishtank... I believe ewok lives on the 2nd floor in an apartment, and he has some large tanks (I may be wrong).
But I think a 75g tank would be fine on the second floor.
