mini cichlid world

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my mini monster tanks consists of 4 blue rams 25 cory 6 banjo cats and one african butterflyfish i have problems with this combo when the cory's do their trademark darting out of the tank some of them get eaten by the abf

Currently have a male Sajica in a 30g long planted tank with variety of tetras, cory cats, and some small algae eaters that looks kinda like pygmy cory. I might add a few Buffalohead cichlids in there to see how that'll work out.

wow! so many types of small cichlids im going through this section and writing them down for more small tanks in the future.

i have in a 55g planted tank:
3x laetenarca curviceps or dorsiegeas still to young to tell
1x pike cichlid compressicus (however its spelt)
1x hrp
3x juli cory cats
1x skunk cory
1x bumble bee cat
1x bamboo shrimp
7x harlequin tetras
7x orange glowlite tetras
and there are no problems in my tank. lil fin nipping at first but its all good now and beautiful and its so much fun to watch because all the fish are always active

Haha same here! I have an empty 29 gallon and an empty 30 gallon long so, Pen and Paper please!

Lol i am actually doing the same thing right now!! I have two rams and seven-ish rummy nose tetras. They get along well and I have them in a 30 long. Also the tank is somewhat planted to break the rams line of view.

We had a Krobia guyanenis along with a bolivian ram, krib pair, and a festivum in a 55 for some time and there were no issues

so far I am leaning towards apistogramma and bolivian ram with 2 cories and will need more research for the others,on the other hand what a great variety out there for small cichlids this will save alot of house space.LOL

I think keyholes and curviceps are really cool. They do well with tetras too.
