Mini-ish Monster Shrimp - Macrobrachium assamensis

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Super easy to care for - they eat anything and aren’t very fussy about water parameters. They’ve also been quite easy to breed. Unlike the bigger macrobrachium (e.g., rosenbergii) they’re not particularly aggressive and seem fine with small-mid size fish (though I have seen them hunting fry). I’m actually very surprised they’re not more popular - it’s true they don’t have the colors of the neocaridina but I think they more than make up for it in attitude.
