Mini Jaguar?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm not a pro breeder or anything but have bred fish numerous times. Out of every batch, there's always several fish that don't grow. It's possible you have one like that.

What he said.

In the wild, maybe 1% of the fry ultimately survive. Fish breeders have of course extended that number exponentially. I have a batch of grow out Managuense now. One of the fish (male) is easily four times the size of his siblings.

As long as it's happy, this could be a cool little fish, you might be able to make a dwarf jag species :-D:-D:-D:-D find it a mini jag mate :-D

Sometimes you just get a runt. My Midas is over 18 months old and has only reached 9.5" in length. He has plenty of room in a 120g tank, gets a high quality diet including pellets and earthworms, regular multiple water changes per week.

Everything has been done to help him grow.... and he still has only topped out at the size he has been since he was 9 months old! He is just a runt.

Claim he's a new sub-species of "mini-jag" and act like you're the most awesome person in the world for owning such a rare fish of awesomeness. He certainly is adorable.
