are you talking about like water lettuce or something like that? Duckweed's cool, but gets outta hand quickly. How big is the frogbits though....3 bucks per pad, tell me it's atleast 3x3 inches. Oh it's $15 bucks shipped so it's really kind of a good deal I think.
Also I got some free duckweed from a LFS but decided not to use it because of problems with it spreading out of control. Just the thought if it getting all over my fish net or whatever I use, it would just be a mess all the time.
which species and do they mean five plants or five pads on a plant? Most species are far to big for the usual tank and grow pads 8-10" wide, some much larger, also most of the temperate species do not do well in tropical temps, They rot and die. Most of the cheap ones are non dwarf and temperates.
Well I have native gamefish and my water temp is at 65 degrees so it's not tropical water temps.

Aha, spongeplants, very cool and a nice sized plant. Thanks Gamefishin, With you natives if you ever do start keeping true water lilies you will want the temperate ones and there are not a lot of choices for pygmy ones of those, the frogbits look like a great alternative.
Alright enough of this I'll just order some myself and be the guinie pig. I'll order it this week and let everyone know about it and will post up pics too. Thanks though but stay tuned for the pics people.

Updated pics but not what I thought it would be, but oh well it does atleast make my tank more complete.
Here's the frogbits...the roots are just too long so I didn't like it and cut some of it off. Then I ended up just planting it up.
