Mini Monster... 5Gal NANO...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
All sounds good to me you might want to add some LED blue glow lights for night my fish like the night lights and i think it helps corals to.

just buy a 10g for 10$ at lfs and go from there, then you can put a fish and stuff in it and it uses basically the same equipment as a 5g

heater for a 5g is most likely rated for anything up to 10g so thats good

lighting depends on what corals you want but the lighting suggested for the 5g would prolly be fine for some corals in a 10g

get a cheap powerhead / pump and make a 5g bucket canister filter with a diy overflow or drill and your done

I kinda just wanted to use the 5gal cause it's cute and could fit on my desk. Plus it'd give me a challenge keeping a smaller tank like that happy. All my other fish are too easy.

Ok, so how does this sound....
5gal Rectangular tank (16" X 8" X 10")
Filtration: Mini Hang-on canister filter: FilterLighting: 20W provided by screw-in coral-life 50/50 PC light bulb.
Liverock: As much as I can fit in there while still having room for inverts. Will be using already flourishing liverock from a friends tank.
Stocking: To start I will start with some frags from my friends tank and add slowly from there. The only "mobile" inverts I plan to eventually have in there will be a couple of those sexy anemone shrimp.

Any other suggestions?

Sounds good.

what do you all have? a small bio cube or someting? i have a 30 ( bio cube ) but want to get a 5 or a 10 also for just small inverts maby a fish and some type of corals.
