that's a good idea. you think they'll be ok in cold water?
i doubt it but a heater for a ten gallon isn't very expensive.

all will chase down a scallop and eat it! ALL ecinoderms are monsters!!!! except for sea cucumbers they just look like big turds on the sea floor.
Retuks;3111671; said:a scallop... lol that definitely doesnt make them a monster. the smallest humming bird can eat a snail... like i said. monsters must be strictly defined. mosquito fish are just over grown guppies... even if they did kill will's fish that doesnt make them any more fun to watch then a starfish in persuit of a scallop at 1cm per hour... not monster at all.
maggots eat rotting meat... in a microscope you can see their shark-like teeth but that doesn't make them monster. they are still small, fat, ugly, and gross. and worse off mature into flies

Mosquitofish are pretty vicious livebearers. I lost lots of fish, even bigger ones (few African cichlids) to these damn gambusias. Even dwarf puffers lost their lives to these mosquitofish. So lets drop the monster define, its too general. I believe its called personal taste..
So some people likes puffers, some like blood parrots, some like crayfish, some like angelfish, some like harmless shrimp and some like mosquitofish. Its nothing wrong about them, its personal tastes in different people which I dont see anything wrong with it. I believe this forum is not about keepers who keep monster fish.
