I gotta spare 18" tank and thanks to all you guys :D I wanna put a monster in it. What is a mini monster suitable for a tank that size bearing in mind im in Australia and we can't get a lot of things.

No idea, plus I don't know what is legal and what isn't in Australia. This would be a one for guppy.

I'd be interested to hear about fish choices anyway to see what can actually go in there. I can get freshwater flounder. They don't look very monster though.

lol sorry but is your name really bruce? if so that would be awesome. some small sp of puffer maybe?

There are pike top minnows and stuff, but not sure if they are legal there.

!8" x ?, makes a difference, lol. Luciocephalus pulcher or Belonesox belizanus pop to mind but I bet they are banned there.

How about a nice aussie native Glossamia aprion (Mouth Almighty)? they are freshwater, get to 7 1/4 " (18 cm.), and are nicely predaceous while being common enough to not be on the protected list. Here is a pic by G. Aland.

hehe i didnt think they really existed-excellent. if you were on neighbours that would make my night. your playing the brazilians tomorro. anyway on fish... how about a stonefish type fish, theres a fw one and one that does best in brackish. they dont move around much either.

I was thinking of going for a mouth almighty, my lfs has some at the moment for $11.95. I might check them out.
