Mini Tiger Grow Out Progress

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I lost one of my two new minis the other day which brings me to nine. The little guy didn't seem right from the start so as disappointing as it is it's not a huge shock. My largest at this point are 3.25" tip to tip with the smaller ones being around 2.25"-2.5" bought a decent time after the bigger ones. All on Hikari Massivore, and Hikari Food Sticks daily. W/C have been changed to 1-2 times a week and the biggest change of all is the move to a glass bottom 33g with two AquaClear 70 HOB filters filled with Biomax, Ehfi Eheim, sponges and pathos. I also plan on adding prefilter sponges on both intakes for even clearer water.

Start:
6 Tigers (.25"-.5")
Tank: 14g Biocube
Deep sand bed (play sand)
Tankmates: 12 various loaches
Feeding: Tubifex worms daily until fat, toying with pellets but they're either too big to swallow or too small to find still.
Water Change: 10% biweekly

Current:
9 Tigers (2.25"-3.25")
Tank: 33g
Glass Bottom
Tankmates: Clown Pleco
Feeding:Hikari Massivore & Food Sticks Daily
Water Change: 40% 1-2 times per week

Here's a video from today, I added in a piece of driftwood. By far the biggest decor piece they've seen in a while so some of them weren't sure if it was friend or foe.

Update! Move My 5 maybe 6 haha Mini's into a 40G,WC once a Week,Flat Slate plus drift decor,Slowing fazing out BW&Frozen Brine Shrimp to FoodSticks. I snap measurements of everyone Mini while transfering and guess what? My cam decided it didnt want to autosave any of the 10-12 shots I took. Mother&^%$@#

Sold 4 and moved the remaining 6 into a 75g tank with existing datnoids. Still feeding on Massivore, most are eating whole pellet by now. Three area solid 4" while the rest aren't too far behind, and are also the less aggressive eaters so it's no surprise.
