Yeah, male guppies don't jump much because of their large tails. their tails reduce their hydrodynamism. Females do jump though.

You certainly know guppies because that is so true . I will find a female guppy now and than which is dried up and dead next to my guppy pond but never a male.
 
Hehe, i once found a dead female guppy on the floor more than 5 metres away from her breeding tank!!!
And, on jumping livebearer fish category, the winners are swordtails!! I've lost SO MUCH due to jumping!!!!

Lol yes and in swordtails everyone jumps be it male or female though I think unlike guppies males jump more than females.
