I'm trying to plan a tank out and I was wondering if there is a minimum depth for adult Bichirs (I have senegals). I was thinking 15-17" tall but I was also considering getting an Aro or Oscar eventually and if that's not deep enough to give them room to stay above the bichirs I may consider going taller. Any input?

15 -17" would work great for just bichirs but for the other additions I would shoot for 24" or above.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, just for the bichirs, but wanted to get other opinions on it. I think I will go taller just so I won't have to upgrade later for tankmates.
well it depends on the bichir's length,mine is already 17 so 17 above depth wouldn't do,well if you are generous enough add some more,assume its max size
