Minimum sized tank for Marbled Pim?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a foot long + in a 125g. Loves to stay under driftwood....had to find a piece big enough. I keep him well fed so he doesn't bother the other tank mates (anywhere from 1 1/2 in to 4 in). I did have him in a tank with my large pacus, which I had for over 7yrs. I thought the pacus were going to eat him alive!! They just kept picking and biting at his fins and whiskers for months. Poor thing....well, you see who I kept.....my tame, handfed kitty fish,...and my old 7 1/2 yo oscar, who doesn't bother anyone.

BTW, what size marbled pim are you thinking of? A baby or a larger one?

Tank will be 120" x 24" x 24" 300gal

What cichlids go well with them? Can they go with Red Tiger Mota or Trimacs? wonder if they would even bother them?

Whats a fair price for a marbled pim, the lfs is selling one for $100.00 ? is that reasonable?

They should be fine as long as the tank is big.

A perruno is a true marbled pim dummy... If it is P. perruno then $110 isn't a bad price but if it's L. marmoratus than it is kinda high...
