I have two twelve inch males. One in a 50 gal. breeder and the other in a 55 gal.. They both grew up in these tanks and love it. Tried moving them both into a 90 gal. tank separately on different occasions and they acted depressed. Hiding in corners and not eating much. Put them back in their tanks and back to normal over night. The bigger the tank for a fish is only convenient for us! Less water changes. I do 50 percent weekly and we are all happy

Mine live in 200 gallon but once they pair off I take them to a 29 long so they can have babies and put them back in their community tank.

Is a 30 long and 12 wide so Male max size I put is 9"
