What would be the minimum tank size a breeding pair of angels (in order to house them for life)?

Also, is it recommended to have more than one breeding pair of angels per tank?

I used to use a 20 gallon tank worked fine for a pair but if you want to leave the fry with them 25 gallons or larger as you can get 200-300 young from one lot of eggs. also my tanks were bare not a thing in the except this bad boy for them to lay the eggs on

20 gallon tall or 29 gallon will do nicely

Sounds good. I have a 20 tall right now with cichlids in it (the fish I'm trying to sell.) The angels aren't yet pairing up, but I have 9 in a 40 gal right now (all about 1-1.5".)

Once two of them pair off I plan on moving them to the 20 tall. Will doing so cause them to stop being a pair? If it does, will they become a pair again after a while?

They don’t normally pair up until they get to 2" + about 12 months I also would get several form different souses this way it gives you a better strain and chance of not having brother sister cross. I dread out some brother and sisters and 80% of the young had short gills and ended up as feeders.

Angels don't mate for life but you will fined if you get a good Pair they just won’t stop.

a 20 XT would be the perfect tank for a pair or even 2 pair of breeders. i would put some nice broadleaf swords in the tank and some slate or ceramic things (like the picture) to encourage breeding, the plants especially. my angels were breeding on the filter of my tank until i put a nice amazon sword in there and all the eggs were getting sucked up. the sword worked wonders. it was a much better crib. : )
