Hi,

I have my 2 Moto for two weeks. I have black gravel on the bottom. Yesterday I sow that one of my moto is not that active like usually. He is feeding but not like before. And I sow on it little minor injury, it looks like he graze and I think that it can be because of gravel.

What do you think ? Should I add some salt, melafix ? Or maybe remove gravel... But other moto looks very good, and she accustomed to gravel.

Water 82F
PH 7
Chnged water 2 days ago 50%.

what tank mates do you have... but i would suggest removing the gravel, gravel is normally a no no. The outside ones just look like growth marks, the inside one looks almost like a bite mark

Black Arowana and Pleco, but Pleco almost all day is sitting under the driftwood. I was observeing and I didn't sow any fight. Maybe at night... but only one moto ?

is the driftwood sharp? sometimes they can get cut when they are swimming by hitting a piece of the driftwood. I would remove the gravel, and add a little bit of salt... 1lb per 100 gallons and see what happens

too hard to tell from the pic. you might want to watch the pleco. gravel seems fine to me many use coarse to medium size gravel. you have only had him for two weeks? i would just make sure things don't get worst and keep water clean for now maybe came in like this and you didn't notice?

Driftwood is from cypress. It is very smooth and no sharp.
