24 hour lighting on your sump doesn't actually help anything, just wastes electricity, if you keep light on your plants 24/7 they don't get a rest period to metabolize the chlorophyl they produce while the lights are on, and in turn remove less nitrate and dissolved organics from your system.

While I can't say from experience, I have seen reference to using a 24hr cycle on caupera as it helps keep it from reproducing and it does not require time to rest like most other fuge plants.
