Yes. They would always be stressed when they look down and see themselves..
Too much stress? I guess that depends upon what level of stress you are hoping for. 
And now...the earth trembles, the planets shift in their orbits, and the sky turns red...because I am about to agree with the Shadow...and I can scarcely believe it myself.
Yes, I think a mirrored bottom is a terrible idea which will stress your fish.

Well, if you think about it, if you had the brain of a fish - small and not very smart - and you saw yourself every single day every single second, would you be stressed out? Especially being as aggressive as a flowerhorn! I saw you liked my comment and I was like “Oh no. What happened. Did I make a fool of myself again!”Too much stress? Okay, okay, now wait a minute. First off, I think that "liked" is a pretty strong word to describe my reaction.
I did not find your comment completely inane, and in fact it had some merit...and the selection of choices when "liking" a comment on MFK does not include one for "somewhat agree"...so, I chose the closest thing, I.e. "like".
And for the record, I don't agree that the fish will go nuts looking at themselves. I simply think that having light blasting at them from both above and below will be a very unnatural and stressful situation.
Sort of similar to the one in which I now find myself...
