misnamed fish, who has one

Midas labled as "Mr. Happy :)" I killed myself laughing. Not really mis named but DAMN HE IS AN ASS ! My jag ended up getting sick of him and killing him...
 
Called Spotted Gar but acutally was Boulenngerella maculata or the Spotted pike characin. Bought Rocket gar when really it's a Ctenolujus hujeta or Hujeta pike. Bought Marble Gar when really Lepisosteus platyrhincus or Florida gar. Bought Marble Eel when really Gymnothorax tile Freshwater moray eel. And bought water dragons when really axolotl. So many errors.... I was aware of all of them when I bought them, but they were only labeled wrong... I knew better. ;)
 
For some reason my local petco always sell bristle nose plecos as commons. I'm not complaining as 2.49 for a bn is a pretty good deal.
 
I didn't get them but my local LFS has angelicas loaches listed as yoyo's for an awesome price of 4.99& at about 3"

my senegal bichir was at a walmart. they had no idea what it was! got mixed in with the shipment somehow? got him for a dollar :)
 
When I first started with fish a red devil labeled as a gold fish. I knew he's wasn't a gold fish but didn't expect him to kill all my fish.. Got him for $1.29 grew him out to a 14inch beast..

Bought a red tail catfish labled as a large red tail shark for $7.99. Then stuck it in my buddies koi pond to have a long billed bird eat it a week later. Karma
