MISSING: Female betta, 1.5 in, 29 gallon tank, red colored, where is she?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just came back from a two week vacation and I noticed my red female betta was not in the tank. I checked under, around, and in the decor and even in the filter and on the floor and she's gone. She's too big for any of the fish to eat whole and I see no skeletons or fragments of her body. She wasn't flushed by the housekeeper because the bathroom up there still has crap from the last water change (before the fish went missing) in the toilet and she isn't in the trash. I'll try to call her after she gets done from work, but aside from that, anyone got any ideas?

sucks dont it, i had 3 bettas jump on me, the wife forced me to put away the betta bowl cuz it was depressing...they all committed suicide!!!:nilly:

do you have cats????...if they did jump they are most likely in the litter now..If not they probably got eaten by it's fellow fish..:(

Check under the furniture...really well. I couldn't find my betta for a week and a half, then after moving a piece of furniture...

He looked like a dustball from the side, so I must've looked at him four or five times and never noticed.

Its a betta, get over it, lol. You have a cat right? Well.... theres your answer!

What do you mean "it's a betta, get over it"? I'm sure he loved his betta very much, it's not "just" a betta.

If she did it could have only taken several days and there wouldn't be anything left. Sorry to hear of the loss. I love bettas in community tanks.

I've had fish die and get eaten just overnight by corycats and tetras. No trace of them until I eventually took the tank down and noticed bone fragments down in the substrate. Most of the bones got eaten.
