well i checked the filter but no luck..i did have a good look under and around the tank but no fish..im dumbfounded. my water parameters were grand..ph is a bit low at 7.5-7.7ish... no ammonia tho . i so worried i think im gona stick a few posters in my local shop in a bid. missing fish's section!
well at least the missing guy had no effect on the tank.... he/she may still be in there ..alive and hiding on you... especially if they are holding.. possibility anyway... let us know if you find him/her.

wow thanks
...i have an external filter alright i will check it asap..i did a water change only last week so im pretty sure its ok but sure no harm in checking paramaters again...i dont think there's a predator in the tank which would have had a go...would a syno catfish or julidochromis finish him off?

Here is a thought for you

do you do your wc with a python if so does your python have a cover on the gravel vac that prevents fish from being sucked up.

in a few of my tanks some of the fish think its fun to swim in the gravel vac part, the odd time I have actually had smaller fish get sucked right outta the tank and into the bucket,

Personallyl if i find a dead fish in my tank I remove it immediately, my first tank crash came from a pictus cat who had died in my tank and I did not see it til had to be 3-4 days later. I tested the water and it was way outta line did many wc and things to try but all of the fish died

since then I have actually made it so i dont use fake decor and try to keep my tanks so the fish have easy movment
