Ive posted a pic aswell.
I need to know whats wrong with his shell. Youll be able to see what im talking about once you see the pic, its quite obvious.
First of all, those white spots arent soft. so atleast i hope it isnt "soft shell" disease.
Ive read that it could be calcium/mineral deposits?
or the water being too hard??
and i dont think its shell shedding.
ive tried scrubbing it off, but nothing came off.
Please help me id whats going on with his shell. AND what i can do for him to solve this issue.
p.s, ive got a basking spot for him which he can fully pull himself up to and get out of the water.
There is a basking uvb light thats on for 9-10hours everyday.
Filteration is good, with water changes every 2 days.
Heater in the water as well.
I feed him mostly Reptomin pellets and bloodworms.
I put cuttlefish bone in the tank as well as calcium blocks to prevent soft shell.
and of course i condition the water with dechlorineizer.
he is roughly 3" in shell length.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
