Mixed 180 gallon SA tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Love the aquascaping with those over sized dw and boulders! Subdued lighting adds a very calm and natural ambiance. Well done!

very pretty tank and inhabitants. appears well managed. have you thought about adding a school of tetras or sd or are you about maxed out?

All of these inhabitants are going into an 800 gallon aquarium I am currently building. in addition to them I have a couple other types of Heros(severums), 10 Uaru, and some festivums. I am thinking of trying a school of ~100-150 rummeynose.

Wow that canopy looks amazing man. Great job. What kind of lighting is in those fixtures?

Thanks! They are LED spotlights. 5000k. I tried 2700 and it looked really amazon like, but the wife said it was a little too yellow.

good night. an 800 gallon. if the rummynose dont work out you could load that thing with a serious school of silver dollars or chalceus. how far along are you into that build?

I think the 5000k is the right move. It looks great, and especially if you have tannins at all from that wood, you will get the amazon look anyway. If you want more of the tea-water effect, you could always add some leaf litter as well.
Look forward to seeing the 800, since I can tell you are a solid craftsman from that canopy!
