Mixing angelfish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the red sea have better success rates.
but yes only experienced reefers should keep the regal and moorish idol.

if you do, just make sure that they are eating prepared foods while at the lfs

Rule of thumb, you can mix a dwarf and a regular but not two of the same. Yes tanks size comes into play. Its not so much the large angels its the dwarfs they are more aggressive than the large ones because of the habitate they like, they tend to hang around the live rock more. Dwarfs will pic on the larger angels but they can take it. I had a half black angel in with a big koran angel they were fine together when i added a bicolor angel stuff went down hill from there. had to move the bi color out into a tank by himself. But in a big tank like that you shouldnt have any problems. Good luck

well i would only have one large stack of rocks for my zebra moray which might not leave much territory for any of the other fish in the rock structure, does this matter if i were to get both and put them in that same tank?

put a nice some pvc pipe behind your rock for your moray, The pvc will grow algae on it just as the live rock will and will make a great hide for the moray leaving the live rock for the dwarf angel, The large angel will hang out above the rock.
