so right now i have 4 loaches that im growing out to put in a tank with some larger fish. ive also notices alot of different varieties of loaches and im wondering if they are compatible with one another?

What species of loach do you have? There are many loach species that are compatible, but some are very aggressive and must be kept with fish of similar temperment

i have clown loaches. which ones are aggressive. im more interested in the ones that have similar shape to the clowns but jsut different patterns. not interested so much in liek dojos

The Botiine Loaches are sometimes territorial. Clowns, YoYos, Zebras, Queens are all fairly docile and mixable, but I'd stick to fish of a similar size. Modestas and Tiger loaches are territorial and don't make good shoals.

thanx for the info eworm

Botia dario
Botia histrionica
Botia almorhae
Botia rostrata
Botia striata
Botia kubotai
Chromobotia macracanthus

All are compatible with each other...

Something to avoid:
Yasuhikotakia modesta
Yasuhikotakia eos
Syncrossus helodes
Syncrossus hymenophysa
Syncrossus berdmorei
Syncrossus beauforti
Yasuhikotakia morleti

These ones are plainly nasty fish.

Currnetly I have 9 clowns, 4 yoyos, and 3 blue botias all 4 to 6" the clowns and yoyos are socialble with on another but the blue botias keep to themselves. I have heard the botias can bcome quite aggressive but have yet to see this myself.

How about Sinibotia Robusta? I have several mixed with clowns. They aren't very sociable. They hide a lot. I'm thinking of putting them in a separate tank.
