In my new 5x2x2 tank im gonna add 8 big myleus (dollar species) all about 8"+ and some 2-3" Baysnooks. Would my 7-8" Silver arowana be ok with them or would they knock him about too much? Hes been with some small spotted dollars before.

The larger fish could stress the aro a bit, just because of size fish your aro has never experienced. If it were me I would just leave your aro in the 4' x 2' x 2' untill it's in the 13-14" range. When you do move the aro, move him into an empty tank then add the larger tank mates.
