Don't do it, I have a 55 and I had the African sa set up u want, it won't work. You'll just turn the tank into a graveyard, I had a ebjd n he got tortured by my jewel even the yellow lab gave him Hell, I felt that those Africans were too hyper for my other ones.
Ebjd
Red devil
Green Texas
Yellow lab
Jewel
I know it's alot of fish now, didn't think so then. Trust me man don't do it, unless you like scooping up dead fish

I just had a thought because I had a similar issue with my wife wanting more color. First point out the colors you do have you have pinkish orange and electric blue those are pretty colors the only thing you may be missing is yellow. So you could go with Rainbow cichlids if you increase the size of the tank.

I also pointed out to my wife that with those bright colors comes aggression issues that is why they have the bright warning colors. After seeing all the chasing that goes on with an african tank and the stress that accompanied she left me in charge of selecting stock again.

I would be cautious in mixing. The aggression can go either way. A EBJD is too peaceful for those Africans and a 55g it won't have a chance.
When it comes to CA cichlid aggression, they don't just jaw lock. No one ever have fins shredded? Any beaten up fish they had to nurse back or die from a tank mate? In a 55g an aggressive CA will want the 4' to its self so it may not just jaw lock. It might want to eliminate its tank mates. The Africans are better off in groups so its best to just stick w/ them .
