MM Disk Problem

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's not the shipping ....I picked this up myself from another member who had him for awhile and it looked fine. I see your point, but since I moved him yesterday, I'm afraid moving him twice will be really stressful and do more damage than good.
(I really like that Xanto in your avatar, probably the best I've seen...for how long did you own it ?)

Just keep an eye on the pealing ,if it moves farther up than make sure the sand is removed.Parameters look fine.Remember that sand can hold onto bacteria which can lead to further infections,no matter how clean the tank is.
I brought in 11 Yellow Chubby's and they all sold right away, but they are some of the nicest pleco's out there.

and definitely keep an eye on its belly. i had a little orb come in with ammonia burns on its belly, and its slime coat was peeling like that. sadly, the burns were MUCH worse and it didn't survive long after i got it. was just too far gone.

I know I'm creeping all your threads now that I saw your new tank but I had the same problem with my female marble motoro when I brought her home (wild caught). It was concerning seeing her peel not to mention it made a mess of the tank. It stopped now I think it was due to the difference in pH and just overall stress from transport from Colombia to NJ then NJ to Long Island.

I like when people are creeping in my threads lol.....this was def. due to transport just like you said. I stayed away from meds and kept up w/ the water changes.
