I'm thinking Faber will win, and so will Kimbo.
:headbang2

Thanks hamato :D

I initially disliked Faber because he just seemed like too much of a surfer goon. But he can fight, no doubt.

Also after watching a couple of interviews with him, and watching some more fights of his, I actually find the California kid quite likeable.

I think this fight depends on how past it Pulver is. It's safe to say he has declined a fair bit from his peak, and is pretty much at the end of his career.

If he's on form I think he'll beat Faber, he's undefeated at 145, he's very experienced, and he's been in with much biggers guys, guys that have competed at welterweight like BJ Penn.

**** he even has a win over Penn, and Penn is an incredible fighter, one of the best in the game.

It's a risky pick, because I don't know how much Jens has left, and his loss to Lauzon is a little worrying, AND Faber is a very good fighter.

So I am tentatively picking Jens by KO in the second round, after being hurt and roughed up himself.

For those picking Faber though - remember 2 things. Jens is undefeated at this weight AND Tyson Griffin handled Faber with relative ease.

About Kimbo - Thompson, I started as a Kimbo hater now I can't help but like him.

He's obviously not just a gimmick, he's serious about wanting to be an MMA fighter and he has trained seriously, so credit to him.

Also you have to admit it's kind of cool, his transition from backyard brawler youtube legend to pro MMA fighter.

He also has excellent striking ability, better than most MMA fighters actually, he can box a bit no doubt.

Thompson, well I feel sorry for him in general really. Big strong guy, bit thick, but really wants to be a good fighter, trains hard, and is serious about MMA. But he's simply not very good, and has a chin made of fine china.

Kimbo won't take Thompson out as quickly as Butterbean and Fedor's brother did, it'll be a bit of a fight, with big James having some success, until Kimbo starst to tag him with clean combos and takes him out, in classic Thompson style.

All good points rumble, I agree with you on the Faber points and I also did not like him at first. I have a hard time picking Pulver just because of the fights I've seen him lose, but he certainly is talented.
On the Kimbo thing, people get all snobbish because of where he came from and how he fights, but give me a break, like there aren't already guys like that in mma? He just had the fortune of the youtube stuff to help promote him, but he's not the only one-dimensional guy fighting, especially in the heavyweight division.

no clue on your times, check your guide :)

and gina didnt make weight but looks like fight is still on

New Jersey Deputy Attorney General Nick Lembo told MMAjunkie.com the Gina Carano-Kaitlin Young bout was scheduled to be contested at 140 pounds. Both fighters were aware that Carano would be over weight before the weigh-ins, and a percentage of Carano's purse was awarded to Young. Lembo was unsure of the amount but believed it to be 12 to 12.5 percent.
