that's something we're just gonna have to wait and see if anderson can hang with 205'ers or not.

he fought there before, did fine this weekend and he'll do it again i'm sure

I agree he "did fine", but thats a lot different than saying he can take the belt. I like him in the class he is in, I wish that he would just stay there and continue to win. There are guys he can fight in that weight class.

I couldn't hear the broadcast because I was at BWW's and they had the Tigers game on, but normally they say the best "pound for pound" fighter. I think there is an argument for both Silva and Fedor, but I also think it's crazy that they don't mention GSP everytime they talk about one of these guys, he is just as good as they are, in his class of course.
They said both pound-for-pound and flat-out best repeatedly. The promo for the event also said "You don't need Pay-Per-View to see the best fighter in the world" or something very similar to that. Until he runs through 205 like he did 185, IDK how they can say that. You also have to remember that Fedor is younger than Silva and has been at the top of the game for much longer.

I would agree. I think that Fedor is a better fighter.

I would say his performance was a bit better than fine. He straight up embarassed one of the hardest hitters in the 205's. I like Silva a lot but he wouldn't stand a chance against Fedor. I'm convinced at this point that Fedor could put a grizzly bear in an arm bar and submit him.

If you notice, I was quoting svang, who said he "did fine". I agree that he did more than fine, but while I agree Irvin is one of the hardest hitters, he isn't even in the discussion of the top guys in a class that has probably 8 guys who could realistically contend for the belt. I respect that Silva won in a higher weight class, that is really difficult and dangerous to do, but untill he fights guys who are at the top, we can't say he could take the belt.

we can't even say wether anderson could or couldn't take the 205 belt until he actually gets a title shot. and when i said anderson "did fine" at 205,.......... i down played it, he kicked friggin @$$

i'm just saying that in my opinion, he can fight Forrest next month and take the title. I know the 205 division is stacked, but put him against any top 5 in the division in the ufc and my money is on anderson

at 185, there is no one who will pose a threat to anderson. Dan was probably his biggest threat and he finished dan in 2 rounds.

Okami is out due to a broken hand and anderson will fight Cote,.............. but either guy won't last passed the second round.

i think he should be the first to hold 2 titles in 2 divisions simultaneously

I think he may not be as dominant as you think. Put him in there against Lyoto, Soku, Shogun, or Alves and he doesn't walk away clean like saturday night. That doesn't even mention Wandy, Rampage, Chuck, Forrest and others.

like i said,........... we'll see,............. i think wanderlei is a perfect fight for anderson to display his striking. out of the names you mentioned, i'd say Lyoto is the only one that has a good chance of beating Anderson. And I'd say if he wins, it's by decision. I don't think Lyoto will take anderson out.
