mn tank for a pair of oscars

personally, is say a 125 or so. give them enough room to swim, and gives you more water to work with. plus you could more than likely add in a few other fish as well. more often than not their big lazy loafs IMO, but they sure as hell can tear it up when their angry and provoked
 
I wouldn't do any less than a 125, even then keeping the water quality in check is going to be a pain with two full grown O's. I'm doing two 50% or one 75% water change a week just to keep my nitrates under under 40ppm and thats with only one 11-12" fish.

I'm sure many people here will disagree but I see many (IMO) massively overstocked tanks and for the life of me I can't see how they keep their water healthy. :confused:

What size tank do you have? In my 135 I have a total of 6 ca/sa, 7 polys, and 3 cats counting a pleco, ranging from 5"-14". I do twice weekly 50% water changes, with 2 xp-3's and one magnum 350 and I don't think I ever reach 40ppm. On water change days I'm about 15. And I feed WELL. I agree a 125 would be great, but as a MINIMUM I think a well filtered 75 is fine.

125 with two XP3's and one AC110. Doing only one 75% WC by the end of the week I'm nearing or at 40ppm.

OP- Sorry about the hijack.
 
for 2 oscars 100 us gallon minimun. and you would have to have very good fitration to go with it. nothing smaller or you will run into water problems
 
If your are talking full grown Oscars for life, then a 125gl min
