Moba grow out thread

Ha, yea, slow growers for certain!

The shipment arrived yesterday. I got sent this pic today as confirmation that the 4-5” mobas were in the shipment. No other contact as yet. I’m tryna be patient as the IG pic showed the blokes van full of styro boxes so I’m sure he doing a hunch of sorting and acclimating 😅

Some nice purple blues straight out of the shipment bag 🤩

Looks good. How many of the 4-5” mobas do you plan to get for the 500gal?

Gonna start w 16 Ken 🤙🏼 As they grow I will probably sell some extra males and turn that $$ back to buy more. Ultimate goal is 3-4M & 12-16F 🤗

Thank you Brian. I am excited. I’ve had to be very patient as he had a planned vacation in October. The longest I’ve ever waited with cash in the kitty 🤗😵‍💫

I'm a little surprised I didn't know of him before but I'm glad I do now. I've been getting my Moba from Alison @ cichlidsandherps or Butch @southeastcichlids for years. I see him on FB and instagram but does he also have a website?

No mate, no website Ken. I didn’t know of him until recently either. B Bwirtz actually directed me to him but I have no social media accts and used my sons IG acct to get in touch with him in September after scouring the internet for moba.

Alison has wilds, 1.25” & 2.5” in atm as well. Whilst the 4-5” are actually not that more costly for a fish prolly close to 6-9 months older than a 2.5” fish.

Pretty sure Butch sold his wild group.

I have heard from several sources that Anthony’s advertised sizes are actually the sizes you get as well. We all know use fish peeps aren’t good at measuring accurately without a tape measure 😱😆
