as for catfish - hoplo cats are awesome. they aren't scared of bigger fish and when i ha mine they would swim around all the time even with the lights on

Not sure I'd chance adding another chalceus, they can be a little nippy with each other. From what I understand if you want more than one it's best to have several.
As for the stocking/overstocking discussion...you have plenty of filtration but my concern is when your uaru get bigger you'll be pushing it. I mean, they're not on the oscar level by any means but they're pretty fair crap factories.
