Thanks so much guys. yeah I was planning on resealing everything anyways so going to try just covering the spot and hopefully don't end up with a busted tank and 130g of water on my floor 
. glass place by me apparently has a 3ft min so going to get 3/8in vs the .5in the tank is made with ($48 vs almost $150 
ridiculous since I really just need a 3"x4" rectangle but still cheaper than a new tank i guess)
