It worked for me. What I did was get a 2.5 gallon bucket and filled it with (undechlorinated, not reccomended) tapwater that had not been pH or temperature matched. I just dropped two sailfin molly fry (6 m/o) in there and added a lot of table salt. Then I went out.
5 hours later I came back home and expected some dead mollies. They were alive...
I just dropped them in my saltwater tank.
They are both alive and doing fine.
This is just an example of how tough mollies can be - not how you should do it.
