is this even possible.
i went on to wikipedia and looked at the genus/family orders for them both. they look compatible for hybridization. but if it is possible how ?

yes, it's possible. they also have pictures of that in aqualog book. but i am too lazy to scan them

The best way to do it from what I've read is a male molly with a female guppy. Just make sure the male molly is really small when you start trying. They get too big.

I didn't see an edit button, but I'd like to add that almost every single one you produce will be a sterile male. If you happen to get any females, definitely let me know!
