Well, Monday, decided to go for 3 hours that ended up being from 6:30 To noon. Hot, worked very hard tucked up in a hole-cave that I pry shouldn't have been. It was pretty solid and not to much of a slope, a few guys could have dug me out I guess, or ran off with my teeth and leave me lol.

Anyways, the shark tooth and ray were from a large matrix that actually had 3 of these great teeth in it. I worked on it for a long time, one was under so I had to get that out, the other two were right next to each other, and I tried so hard to keep the two teeth and the ray together but the bigger tooth slipped right out.

Whats left on the teeth is being out of this world hard to get off. Ive worked on them all most of the day off and on.

I mentioned for Oddball to look because he liked the last shark and ray matrix and this is another one I worked my butt off on.1 new teeth.JPG

Cool stuff! You should post some on ebay, just to see what the market for that stuff is.

Do you mind me asking just where you find this stuff?? Waaaay cool !!

Knowdafish, Im always checking on the market for fossils, lots of things on ebay but you gotta watch for fakes. The teeth from my area are not cheap and a lot of ppl dont let them go because the ones from here get some real nice colors you dont get from a lot of other spots in the world.

These are from the hills out east in Bakersfield CA.

Nice finds, sounds like a cool hobby.

Its fun, tight now Im hoping I didnt catch valley fever. Waiting for the blood work. Ive got a couple nice fossils I may be buying soon and I will post pics of them as well. Take care.
