How much money do people use roughly on their pets? Just everything in general in a month really. Including the pets themselves, food, heating etc.

Im just wondering if im a cheap tw*t compared to everyone else lol.

Cheers,
Keith

for upkeep, about $100 to $150 for electric and food but I have a lot. I usually get about 6 months of food in at a time and it is hard to say what my electricity bill would be without the dozens of heaters and lamps so I am guestimating about half.

Per month $30-50 for fish, $5 for herps (ball python). My parents pay for electric but I'd chip in if they asked.
How do you only spend $5 a month for your bp? Feeders here are $5 each, and I feed every 7-10 days.

NOT counting my dogs, or electricity, I probably spend about $50-75 a month on food for my fish, ball python, and iguana. That's guesstimating for the iguana, since I've only had him for 9 days so far.

The dogs I probably spend another $75 a month (they're both large dogs, and are on a partial raw diet, supplemented with dry food). Cats I split with my fiance, so it changes depending on who buys food.

I'd estimate I spend about $15-20 a month on electricity for tanks and heaters (I have 5 fish tanks and 2 reptile tanks, plus an outdoor pond).

So I guess anywhere from about $150- $175 a month on all my pets.

My elec bill is prob the highest upkeep, usually $140/month, id say 60/40 split, 60 being tanks/ 40 entertainment/clothes dryer/fridge. Fish lights light up most of the area we're in.

In total, maybe $60 a week total costing for all animals
